چکیده
an individual is rare and can present as a challenging diagnosis to any medical professional. Dengue, leptospirosis, malaria, and viral hepatitis, have many overlapping clinical symptoms making it difficult to diagnose them together. A series of case reports have been published on various coinfections with dengue in an individual. Coinfection of dengue with leptospira, malaria, hepatitis A, hepatitis E and typhoid fever have been reported in literature1-2. We report three cases of children presented with dengue and hepatitis A coinfection.

Detection of Hepatitis C Virus Coinfection in Patients with Dengue Diagnosis
Coinfection produced by dengue virus (DENV) and hepatitis C virus (HCV) is a serious problem of public health in Mexico, as they both circulate in tropical zones and may lead to masking or complicating symptoms. In this research, we detected active coinfected patients by HCV residing in the endemic city of Mérida, Yucatán, Mexico, with positive diagnosis to dengue during the acute phase. We per...
متن کاملThe Prevalence and Clinical Significance of Hepatitis B and C Coinfection
Background: HBV and HCV coinfection is common, particularly in endemic areas and among high risk groups. In this study we have investigated the prevalence of HBV/HCV coinfection and compared the biochemical and serological characteristics of such patients compare with the patients having hepatitis C infection alone. Methods: We studied 207 patients diagnosed as having chronic hepatitis C, with ...
متن کاملCo-infections due to leptospira, dengue and hepatitis E: a diagnostic challenge.
A case of mixed infection due to leptospira, dengue and hepatitis E is reported. Similar clinical presentation and simultaneous transmission of these diseases during rainy season can cause substantial misdiagnosis. Serological tests play a mainstay in diagnosis. Early detection by appropriate serological tests and institution of therapy is crucial and life saving.
متن کاملComparison between Three Rare Cases of Co-Infection with Dengue, Leptospira and Hepatitis E: Is Early Endothelial Involvement the Culprit in Mortality?
Co-infection in immunocompetent patients is rare. Though co-infection with dengue and leptospira cases is increasingly reported, a co-infection of this combination along with hepatitis E is rarely thought of. Until date only two case of triple co-infection have been reported world-wide. Here, we are reporting a patient with co-infection of dengue, leptospirosis and hepatitis E admitted to our i...
